Happy New Year you fabulous, beautiful, wonderful people!
The past week and a half off from work has been magical indeed. I spent quality time with my family each and every day; visited dear friends over delicious food, and learned some more about myself. New Year’s Eve was met with a seafood spread and prayers for 2014, followed by a little bit of bubbly and a lotta bit of dancing.
Usually I plan to strive for… be… travel somewhere epic each year. But this year, there are so many unknowns. Adventure awaits, and it’s both daunting and thrilling.
So, in lieu of any promises for a healthier, happier, more successful year than ever before, here are 33 goals from American folk legend Woody Guthrie. Though times were much simpler (and possibly more grueling amidst the heat of the Dust Bowl) 70 years ago, I’d be darned if a few of your resolutions didn’t overlap with some of his, below:

I’ve got a sweet spot for these 3, especially:
- Play and sing good
- Dance better
- Wake up and fight
Cheers to a brand new year, comrades! Whether or not you’re dedicated to an entirely new routine or look to take each day as it comes, may we all propel forward, together.
